Description
Oak Alaska 🤍 light that stays in the room. White oil takes the yellow out of the oak and the brushed surface leaves a clean, Nordic finish that makes a room read wider than it is. At 2200 mm long and 190 mm wide, the planks leave fewer joins, and the 4 mm oak wear layer means you can sand this floor back and refresh it more than once. Grade DE keeps the knots and the natural cracks in plain sight — they are exactly what makes the surface feel alive ❤️

What this floor brings to your space
I bring light into a room without bringing cold with it. The white oil plays down the natural yellow in oak, so the floor reads clean and quiet, and the room feels more open than its floor plan suggests. You notice it most in a north-facing room: daylight stops picking up that yellowish cast. In the evening, under warm lamplight, the white tone softens and never feels chilly.
Character
I am grade DE oak: knots, natural cracks and clear colour differences from plank to plank. The cracks are filled with putty, while the knots are left on show, because they are the character of the wood. Brushing opens the pores, so bare feet feel real timber rather than a film of lacquer.
Where it fits
Planks of 2200 × 190 mm come into their own in larger rooms — living rooms, open-plan kitchens, long hallways, anywhere fewer joins give a calmer picture. I work over water underfloor heating too; in that case we recommend gluing me down to the subfloor.
Worth knowing
My 4 mm oak wear layer is thicker than the usual 3 mm: this floor can be sanded and refreshed several times over, not just once. An oiled surface can also be repaired in patches when it needs it, without redoing the whole area. Each pack holds 3.344 m², and up to 25% of the planks in a batch are short ones.
