I turn your space into a place of timeless elegance. The herringbone pattern is the classic among laying styles, and my dark shade lends it an especially noble, refined presence. The diagonal arrangement of the blocks visually widens the room and makes it more interesting. I am a floor that impresses guests without ever trying to show off.
Character
My CD grading gives a natural yet calm wood look: discreet small knots and a balanced colour tone that never overloads the herringbone pattern but underlines it elegantly. Brushed and oiled in a dark shade, I look impressive and feel natural underfoot. In a compact 122x610 mm herringbone format with tongue & groove and a solid 4 mm top layer, I am built to the highest technical standard and can be sanded more than once.
Where it fits
I am perfectly suited to representative spaces: the living room, entrance hall, dining room or a high-end office. As herringbone parquet I am laid with tongue & groove, which calls for full-surface glue-down installation to the subfloor. This gluing guarantees optimal stability and allows the floor to be fully sanded. I am also an excellent match for underfloor heating.
Worth knowing
Each pack contains 0.432 m². When laying in a herringbone pattern, be sure to allow a 10-15% reserve for offcuts, as diagonal laying requires more cutting. My 4 mm top layer allows the floor to be sanded and re-oiled more than once, ensuring decades of enjoyable use. Laying a herringbone pattern is more demanding than laying straight planks, so it is best entrusted to a professional.
