The brushed and naturally oiled surface accentuates every nuance of the wood's pattern, and underfoot you will feel the warm, pleasant touch of natural oak.
Character
This is engineered parquet with a sturdy plywood core and a top layer of real European oak. DE grading is rustic and lively – in the planks you will see pronounced knots, natural colour transitions and a characterful wood structure, and a batch may include up to 16 % shorter planks, which underline the natural look even further. The brushed surface can be felt under your fingertips and adds depth, while the natural oil emphasises the true oak tone without forming a glossy film.
Where it fits
With its rustic character and large XL format, this parquet is perfect for spacious living rooms, dining rooms or open-plan spaces where you want to showcase the beauty of natural wood. The 18 mm thick planks with a tongue & groove joint are installed by gluing to the subfloor – this installation gives the wide planks extra stability and is recommended when fitting the floor over water-based underfloor heating.
Worth knowing
One pack contains 1.760 m², so when calculating quantities add around 10 % as a reserve – for cuts, fitting and any possible rejects. The thick 4 mm oak top layer allows the floor to be renewed several times by sanding and re-oiling, so it will serve you for decades. The oiled surface needs periodic care with a dedicated maintenance oil, which revives the protective layer and preserves the richness of the wood.
