What this floor brings to your space
I bring into your home light, whitened oak with a deeper story than first meets the eye. My base is dark smoked oak, and my surface is finished with white oil, so the light, greyish tone plays against a warmer, darker wood figure that emerges in the growth rings and the knots. I give a space plenty of light and Scandinavian calm, yet I never look sterile — the hand-scraped surface creates a lively, natural texture. The wide 190 mm plank and 1900 mm length let the floor look spacious and unified even in large rooms.
Character
I am rustic-graded oak, so I do not hide my nature: knots, natural grain patterns and a play of tones are not a flaw to me but part of my character. My surface is hand-scraped — draw your palm across it and you will feel the gentle waves left by the old tradition of woodworking. Four bevelled edges clearly separate each plank and lend the floor solidity. The white oil accentuates the wood's texture, while the dark smoked base provides contrast in the deeper figure. I am 15 mm thick with a 4 mm top layer of real oak, so if ever needed I can be renewed more than once.
Where it fits
As a light, whitened oak I feel best where space and calm are wanted: in the living room, bedroom, study or across an entire open-plan home. My greyish tone pairs beautifully with Scandinavian minimalism and contemporary classics alike, while the rustic figure warms even the most restrained interior. I am also suitable for water-based underfloor heating — in that case it is recommended to glue me down to the subfloor so the heat spreads evenly. Thanks to the drop-down click joint I am also easy to install floating, which makes me a good fit for renovated homes where the floor needs refreshing quickly and cleanly.
Worth knowing
Each pack contains 2.888 m² of flooring. When calculating quantities, add a 10% allowance to the room area for cutting waste — especially if the space is irregular in shape. Installation is convenient: with the drop-down click system the planks simply click into place, with no glue in the joints. My surface is oiled, so care is simple and rewarding: refresh me with maintenance oil from time to time, and small marks or scratches can be dealt with locally, without sanding the whole floor. For cleaning, choose products made for oiled floors and a well-wrung mop — oak does not like puddles of water.
