I am Oak Torino, and I bring a calm, warm and natural mood into your space. I am herringbone oak parquet with a clean, even wood pattern that lends the room classic elegance without overwhelming it. My brushed and oiled surface highlights the natural structure of the oak and feels pleasant under bare feet. A floor pattern like mine visually enlivens the room and becomes a cosy focal point of your home.
Character
I am natural European oak parquet with a 3 mm real-wood top layer, so I can be sanded and renewed in the future. My ABC grading means a calm, even wood pattern with restrained natural knot and colour nuances — not overly lively, but not entirely sterile either. My surface is brushed, so the natural grain texture stands out, while the oil protects the wood and gives it a matt, warm tone. My blocks are laid in a herringbone pattern, which lends me a refined, classic character.
Where it fits
I am perfect for the living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway — anywhere you want a classic, cosy interior. As herringbone parquet, I am installed by gluing to the subfloor (tongue & groove). Laying herringbone calls for care and experience, so professional help is recommended. I am also suitable for water-based underfloor heating — in that case I must be glued down.
Worth knowing
My block dimensions are 600 x 120 x 14 mm, with a 3 mm oak top layer, so I can be sanded and renewed in the future. One pack contains 0.576 m², and a batch may include up to 16% shorter blocks — worth bearing in mind when planning. When calculating quantities, add around 10% extra for cuts and for laying out the herringbone pattern. Care for my oiled surface with products made for oiled floors and re-oil me periodically so the wood stays beautiful and protected for a long time.
