I am Oak Vienna 300, and I bring breathtaking breadth and naturalness into your space. My wide 300 mm and long 2200 mm planks visually enlarge the room and create a calm, spacious "Country"-style feel. My brushed and oiled surface reflects light softly, so I look warm and alive. I am the solution for those who want the character of the wood to become the room's main focal point.
Character
I am European oak in EF grading — the liveliest, most characterful grade of all. You will see pronounced growth rings, sound knots of various sizes and natural colour nuances that make every one of my planks unique. My brushed surface highlights the natural structure of the wood, while the oiling brings out my warm shade and lets the wood "breathe". I am a plywood-core construction with a real oak top layer.
Where it fits
Thanks to my wide, long dimensions, I come into my own in spacious living rooms, dining rooms or open-plan living areas, where my scale becomes an asset. My planks are joined with tongue & groove, but gluing me to the subfloor is recommended — this ensures maximum stability in large spaces. I am suitable for water-based underfloor heating when installed glue-down. Because of the glue-down installation, entrust the work to a specialist.
Worth knowing
One pack contains 2.64 m², so when calculating quantities add around 10% extra for cuts and wastage. Note that a batch may contain up to 16% shorter planks. My real oak top layer is 4 mm thick, so I can be re-sanded and renewed in the future. My oiled surface loves care with a special oil or soap — a periodic maintenance coat will keep me beautiful for many years.
