Character
This is a natural, multi-layer oak parquet with a 3 mm top layer of genuine oak. The ABC grading means a fairly calm, even wood pattern with a moderate amount of character — a few sound knots and natural colour nuances, but without great liveliness. The brushed surface brings out the natural texture of the wood, while the oiling accentuates the warm, authentic oak tone and a matt, soft feel underfoot.
Where it fits
Oak Zurich is perfect for modern homes, living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan spaces. Wide planks of 190 mm width and 1900 mm length visually enlarge the room. The floor is installed with the drop-down click system, so it goes down quickly and effortlessly. It is also suitable for water-based underfloor heating — in that case glue-down installation is recommended so the heat spreads evenly.
Worth knowing
One pack contains 2.888 m². When calculating quantities add around 10% as a reserve for cuts and waste (note that a batch may contain up to 16% short planks). Plank dimensions are 1900 x 190 x 14 mm, with a 3 mm oak top layer that can be renewed by sanding if needed. The oiled surface is easy to look after: clean with a damp cloth and refresh periodically with care oil so the wood stays beautiful and protected for a long time.
