A polished tile is ground to a mirror sheen, so it reflects light and leaves the room feeling brighter and more open. The catalogue currently holds 36 polished designs, with prices from 35,95 €/m², VAT included. Every tile is Italian-made porcelain stoneware with rectified edges, and most of the collection interprets marble: EndlessLove Polar, Perlato, Empire, Onyx Ivory. Why the imitation is more practical than natural stone is covered in our marble-effect tile guide.
The core format is 1200×600 mm at 9 mm thick; a few designs come in 800×800 and 600×600 mm. Rectified edges are cut at a precise right angle, so the tiles can be laid with narrow joints into an almost seamless surface — the practice is explained in our article on rectified tiles. Porcelain conducts heat well, so these tiles are an excellent match for underfloor heating.
Weigh the room's purpose when choosing: a polished surface is at its best in a living room, kitchen or hallway, while for shower zones and other permanently wet spots the catalogue holds 16 matt designs. Size the order with a cutting allowance in the m² calculator, and if you are still weighing floor types, answer the five questions in our floor finder.
