Natural-tone oak boards

Natural-tone boards are the largest group in our parquet range: 104 of the 145 designs, with Oak Seattle, Oak Vienna and Oak Lucerne among the most frequently chosen. Every board is three-layer European oak, 13.3–18 mm in overall thickness, in formats from 550×90 to 2200×400 mm, with collection prices starting at 37,95 €/m², VAT included. An untinted, unbleached shade sits as happily in a light Scandinavian scheme as in a classic interior, and small scratches show least on a surface like this.

Three parameters are worth checking. First, the top layer — the solid oak wear layer: it runs from 2.7 to 6.6 mm across the collection, and a thicker layer can be re-sanded more times in the years ahead. Second, the finish: among the natural tones, 63 designs are oiled and 36 lacquered; an oiled surface can be renewed in patches without refinishing the whole floor — the differences are laid out in our article on oiled versus lacquered boards. Third, the tone itself: even within the natural palette oak runs from golden to greyish, so our overview of oak floor colours is worth a look before you decide.
